Orthosis commonly called as Braces is the application of external devices to a part of the body to correct, support or replace musculoskeletal functions lost, as a result of injury or congenital irregularities. 

They are most commonly used to reduce pain and discomfort, prevent deformities, improve mobility and function, and to reduce risk of further injury.

There is a very wide variety of conditions that may require the use of an orthosis, and they can be fitted to almost any part of the body, from the feet all the way up to the face and head. Depending on your needs you may be fitted with an orthosis that is Custom made for you, or one that is produce to fit a range of people called the Prefabricated orthosis (our Clinical Orthotist will discuss this with you and agree the best solution).
